Potsdam man charged with burglary

POTSDAM — State police on July 6 charged Andrew M. France, 38, of 6433 Route 11, Potsdam, with felony second-degree burglary, and the misdemeanors of unauthorized use of a vehicle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and circumventing an ignition interlock device. He was also cited with motor vehicle license violation.

Troopers charge that at about 8:26 a.m. on July 5 at 96 Sissonville Road Mr. France stole a 1999 grey Chevrolet S10 pickup truck from a 63-year-old man’s driveway. A review of home surveillance cameras showed Mr. France enter the residence, and stole 4 BB guns and a laptop computer valued at $175, and a pillow and a bedsheet and the vehicle was located on the north shoulder of Route 11, troopers said.

Mr. France was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court by Justice Robert G. Camp and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail.
