NORFOLK — State police on July 5 charged Hillary L. Gilson, 31, of 75 Morley Potsdam Road, Canton, with driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was also cited with operating an unregistered vehicle and stop/stand/park highway violation.
Troopers charge that at about 1:34 p.m. on County Route 40 in the town, Ms. Gilson was reported as passed out inside of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and when they arrived no the scene, found her responsive but not fully coherent. She was also found in possession of a pipe with cocaine residue along with other drug paraphernalia and that the truck’s registration was expired.
Ms. Gilson was evaluated by a drug recognition expert at Massena state police barracks, then taken to Massena Memorial Hospital where she was held overnight for evaluation.
Ms. Gilson was issued tickets returnable to Norfolk Town Court.
