WATERTOWN — In Jefferson County Court on Friday, a man was given two concurrent prison sentences for drug- and weapon-related charges.
Janiere K. Evans, 34, last known address in the Bronx, was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of post-release supervision for his conviction of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was given a 1½-to-3-year concurrent sentence for his conviction of third-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
Mr. Evans was previously convicted of felony drug charges in 2011.
In other court action:
Amber L. Sprague, 35, Watertown, was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and five years of probation, having pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to felony driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She was also fined $1,500, had her driver’s license revoked for one year, and was ordered to install an ignition interlock device on any vehicle she owns or operates.
Derrick T. Lilly II, 22, Watertown, was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served at the PSB and five years of probation.
He pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Sara M. Thackston, 29, Watertown, was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served and three years of probation. She was also ordered to forfeit $720 and any cell phones seized at the time of her arrest. Ms. Thackston pleaded guilty Jan. 17 to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance as a misdemeanor.
Caleb N. Brown, 18, Watertown, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal contempt as a misdemeanor.
He admitted that on Nov. 25 in LeRay, he violated a protection order his mother held against him by threatening her. He also admitted to violating his probation by incurring the new charge.
