GOUVERNEUR — A Heuvelton man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after being stopped on Route 58 in the town of Macomb.
David I. Mitchell, 41, of 186 Mitchell Road, Heuvelton was charged with aggravated DWI, a class E felony, driving without an interlock device and speeding
Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent, which is three times the state threshold of 0.08 percent.
Mr. Mitchell has a DWI conviction within the last 10 years prompting the felony charge.
He was released with an appearance ticket for Macomb Town Court
State police charged Brady D. Beard, 30, Watertown, with, speeding and moving from lane unsafely following a traffic stop at Route 3, Watertown on Friday morning.
Mr. Beard, charged on the 19000 block of Route 3, was later released with an appearance ticket .
