SYRACUSE — Senior wide reciever Steve Ishmael led the five Syracuse University football players selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference teams Monday.

Ishmael received the most votes at his position to be named to the first team. Senior wide receiver Ervin Philips and senior linebacker Parris Bennett were named to the second team. Senior kicker Cole Murphy was selected for the third team. Senior linebacker Zaire Franklin was an honorable mention.

Ishmael, who ranks in the top three in the nation in receptions (105), receptions per game (8.8), receiving yards (1,347) and receiving yards per game (112.3), received 164 points from the voting panel of 45 media members and the league’s 14 head coaches. He is the third Syracuse player to receive All-ACC first team honors since the Orange joined the conference in 2013.

Ishmael was also named the ACC’s receiver of the week Monday. Ishmael caught 11 passes for a career-high 187 yards in Saturday’s loss to Boston College.
