CANTON — Goalie McKenzie Chalmer made 36 saves as Bryn Athyn College edged SUNY Canton, 2-1, on Sunday in a nonconference game which was also the season finale for the Kangaroos.

Brycon Johnson and Tanner Congdon each scored a goal to provide the Lions (8-11-1) with a 2-0 advantage in the third period.

Tyler Bullard scored in the final minute for SUNY Canton (7-16-2), which outshot Bryn Athyn, 37-21.

Austin Washkurak finished with 19 saves for the Kangaroos.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

SUNY PLATTSBURGH 5, SUNY POTSDAM 0

Goalie Brooke Wolejko made 23 saves as the No. 1-ranked Cardinals blanked the Bears in a Northeast Women’s Hockey League game in Plattsburgh.

Five different players scored a goal each for SUNY Plattsburgh (19-2-2, 13-0-1).

Sophomore goalie Kayla McCabe of Watertown made 42 saves for the Bears (11-10-2, 3-9-2).

MEN’S BASKETBALL

ALFRED STATE 53, SUNY CANTON 39

Dante Jordan’s 17 points paced three players in double figures as the Pioneers defeated the Kangaroos in a nonconference game in Alfred.

Alexshay Pearce scored 14 points for Alfred State (15-8) and Tyler Elliott finished with a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Andrew Fitch scored 12 points and hauled down eight rebounds to pace SUNY Canton (7-16), which led 18-17 at halftime, but was outscored 36-21 in the second half.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

ALFRED STATE 64, SUNY CANTON 46

Catherine Bialecki scored a game-high 20 points for the Pioneers, who outscored the Kangaroos, 20-7, in the second quarter en route to winning a nonconference game in Alfred.

Kelsey Shaulis scored 13 points for Alfred State (9-12) and Janae Gibson chipped in with 12.

Antanasia Chambers scored 11 points and also totaled seven rebounds and five steals for SUNY Canton (11-12).

MEN’S SQUASH

ST. LAWRENCE 9, DICKINSON 0

The No. 4-ranked Saints wrapped up their regular season by sweeping the Red Devils in a nonconference match in Carlisle, Pa.

Eight St. Lawrence players won their matches by 3-0 margins, including Aran Thawani, while the other two were 3-1 decisions in favor of the Saints (13-3).

After dropping the second game of his match at No. 5, Belal Nawar rebounded with 11-9 and 12-10 wins in the next two games to clinch the point for St. Lawrence.

WOMEN’S SQUASH

DICKINSON 9, ST. LAWRENCE 0

The host Red Devils swept the Saints in a nonconference match in Carlisle, Pa.

St. Lawrence finished its regular season at 9-10.
